Ronald McDonald House in Picnic

We need your help!

Come join us on Saturday July 9th for Cheeseburgers in Paradise at the Ronald McDonald House in Baltimore. That’s right, we’ll be flippin' burgers for the kids and parents staying at the House. Help us create a fun evening for all . And by the way, it is a full house.

A big thank you to Pan Fried Steel for donating their time, talents and energy to provide musical entertainment for all to enjoy! Steve Tove & Sandy Adams - you rock!!

Volunteers Needed

  • to help prepare the food that evening
  • Flip burgers
  • to help serve
  • to organize & run games for kids (not to worry we have the games and prizes taken care of)
  • help clean-up

Here's the game plan

  • arrive by 4:00 PM to prepare for our evening.
  • RMD House has ample parking across the street in their lot.

Dinner is served at 6 PM. We will be feeding 40 to 50 people that evening. That's why we need you - come on out and join us. You will walk away with an amazing feeling knowing how you helped these families.

Oh and by the way, when we're done we will go have a happy hour parrot head style.

How do I sign-up for this?

E-mail ktgraves1@msn.com to volunteer. On vacation but still want to help. We are in need of cash donations to help fund this evening. Any amount will help. We need to purchase food, drinks, paper products and plastic utensils.

This is the club's summer community service project. Come on out and help us with our purpose and then go party!

Don't forget to wear your Tropical Shirt!

Holiday Party With A Purpose

Oh the weather outside was frightful but inside Julianna’s was delightful! I would like to say thank you to all the folks that braved the winter weather to join us for our holiday party! A good time was had by all! Mook & Bruce rocked the joint with their music and on breaks Soto played all kinds of Buffett tunes. Thank you to Julianna’s for making our holiday party delightful!

Thank you to Steve Jones & Kathy Jones (they are not related – or so they say ) for putting together a wonderful party. Thanks to Margaritaville Foods for their case of Shrimp & Calamari and the swag. The case of shrimp/calamari were silent auction items. Thanks to Alan Hinman for the autographed bottle of Margaritaville tequila with signatures of Coral Reefers. Thanks to Steve Jones for his donation of 3 framed Buffett song posters. Thanks to Andy Forsyth for his donation of a bucket of summer fun. Thanks to all the folks that placed bids and to the winners! Our silent auction raised $400.00. All proceeds will go to WBAL Children’s Fund as well as our 50/50 which raised $75.00. Thank you to all the folks that brought gifts for the Ronald McDonald House. I know that you have helped to brighten some child’s Christmas. Thank you!!!!

Holiday Party

Motm 2009 is now a memory, so at this time we turn our attention to the future! I hope that you will all be able to attend our holiday party scheduled for Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Julianna’s Bar & Grill.

This has been a great CPHC tradition. Ronald McDonald House really counts on the gifts that we bring to them, so I am hoping once again we can help make their holiday party a joyful one. We also make a donation to WBAL kids campaign to help make a needy Child’s Christmas wish come true. Please consider some type of basket donation to use as a silent auction item (we need items), as these funds from the silent auction and the 50/50 will go towards WBAL’s Kids Campaign.

We will be holding a brief membership meeting before the holiday party. Please plan to attend as we have some important information and business to take care of. Business meeting will begin at 4:30 PM and the party will begin at 5:00PM. Our entertainment for the evening will be Mook Jones. Julianna’s will be providing lots of specials to help with your holiday spirit! Hope to see you there!

Meeting of the Minds Follow Up

Folks,

I would like to thank all of the folks that made the trip to Key West and represented CPHC. A good time was had by all! As I met our fellow CPHCer’s through out the weekend I was excited to see that everyone had a great big smile and was having a blast. It truly was a good time and true to form as a “PARTY WITH A PURPOSE”.

I would like to send kudos to several club members who participated in the Zonta 5k run/walk: Tom Schisler, Kevin Budney, Marie and Rob Betz. Thank you for taking the time to participate for such a worthy cause!

Kudos to Tom Schisler for donating blood for the blood drive! You are a good man! (I have this needle phobia thingy – panic attack – I’m a mess!) Let me know if I missed any other club member that was brave and gave blood.

Below you will find some final words from our Director of Conventions, wrap up for the blood drive as well as the toy drive. Parrot Heads are amazing people!!!

Our Lost Shaker of Salt Gathering at the Conch was a huge success with Woody Hall finding that Lost Shaker. Woody received a $25.00 gift certificate to Margaritaville. Great job Woody!

The winner of this year’s Golden Coconut award was the San Antonio Parrot Head Club! Congrats to a job well done! CPHC won this award in 1997.

The CPHC Board of Directors would like to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving!

We hope that you will enjoy this day gathered with family and friends.

Thanks for all you do to make a difference!
Kathy G.
