Ronald McDonald Dinner

Thank you to all the CPHC members for helping to make our dinner a success at Ronald McDonald House!

Our afternoon with the kids began with some games with many trips to the treasure chest for prizes. Not sure who was having more fun, the kids or the CPHCers!

Our menu was cheeseburgers, hot dogs, potato salad and cole slaw along with chips. The salads were donated by Angels Food Market. Margritaville Foods donated some special shrimp along with margarita mixes. A couple of members brought their concoction mixer to make virgin margaritas for everyone. After the main course was served families were treated to building their own sundae. During dinner Pan Fried steel rocked the house with their Island tunes. RM House had invited some oncology patients from across the street to join us. Everyone had a great time!

Each child received a sand bucket loaded with all kinds of activities and goodies to play with.

The House manager told us that many families had commented what a wonderful evening and how it lifted their spirits. We were told this was the best dinner they have ever had at the house! All in all it was a wonderful evening with a job well done. Thank you CPHC!

By the way, if you couldn’t make it this time we are making this an annual event. Don’t miss next year! Check out the pictures of all the fun on Facebook.

Ronald McDonald House in Picnic

We need your help!

Come join us on Saturday July 9th for Cheeseburgers in Paradise at the Ronald McDonald House in Baltimore. That’s right, we’ll be flippin’ burgers for the kids and parents staying at the House. Help us create a fun evening for all . And by the way, it is a full house.

A big thank you to Pan Fried Steel for donating their time, talents and energy to provide musical entertainment for all to enjoy! Steve Tove & Sandy Adams – you rock!!

Volunteers Needed

  • to help prepare the food that evening
  • Flip burgers
  • to help serve
  • to organize & run games for kids (not to worry we have the games and prizes taken care of)
  • help clean-up

Here’s the game plan

  • arrive by 4:00 PM to prepare for our evening.
  • RMD House has ample parking across the street in their lot.

Dinner is served at 6 PM. We will be feeding 40 to 50 people that evening. That’s why we need you – come on out and join us. You will walk away with an amazing feeling knowing how you helped these families.

Oh and by the way, when we’re done we will go have a happy hour parrot head style.

How do I sign-up for this?

E-mail to volunteer. On vacation but still want to help. We are in need of cash donations to help fund this evening. Any amount will help. We need to purchase food, drinks, paper products and plastic utensils.

This is the club’s summer community service project. Come on out and help us with our purpose and then go party!

Don’t forget to wear your Tropical Shirt!
