Ronald McDonald Dinner

Thank you to all the CPHC members for helping to make our dinner a success at Ronald McDonald House!

Our afternoon with the kids began with some games with many trips to the treasure chest for prizes. Not sure who was having more fun, the kids or the CPHCers!

Our menu was cheeseburgers, hot dogs, potato salad and cole slaw along with chips. The salads were donated by Angels Food Market. Margritaville Foods donated some special shrimp along with margarita mixes. A couple of members brought their concoction mixer to make virgin margaritas for everyone. After the main course was served families were treated to building their own sundae. During dinner Pan Fried steel rocked the house with their Island tunes. RM House had invited some oncology patients from across the street to join us. Everyone had a great time!

Each child received a sand bucket loaded with all kinds of activities and goodies to play with.

The House manager told us that many families had commented what a wonderful evening and how it lifted their spirits. We were told this was the best dinner they have ever had at the house! All in all it was a wonderful evening with a job well done. Thank you CPHC!

By the way, if you couldn’t make it this time we are making this an annual event. Don’t miss next year! Check out the pictures of all the fun on Facebook.
